GoToNav can be used without an account. In guest mode, categories and bookmarks stay in IndexedDB in the current browser. Cloud sync starts after sign-in.

What guest mode stores

When you import bookmarks without signing in, data stays in this browser.

Imported categories, titles, URLs, and ordering are stored in IndexedDB.
The bookmarks.html file is read in the browser to parse titles, URLs, and folders.
Clearing site data removes local GoToNav data.

What sync mode stores

Sign-in is used for cross-device access.

After sign-in, bookmark and category changes are written to the cloud database.
Your account email identifies your synced data.
After sign-out, the web app can continue in local mode.

Analytics and debug data

Analytics can be enabled to understand page visits and feature usage.

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load only when configured; Vercel Analytics loads only in Vercel deployments.
Auth debug observers run only in development, not production.
Analytics scripts are not used to read bookmarks.html contents.
