GoToNav Usage Guide

This page explains how GoToNav works in guest and logged-in modes, and provides Chrome extension download and setup instructions.

How to use GoToNav without login (Guest / Local Mode)

You can use core bookmark management features without creating an account. Data stays in your browser IndexedDB.

  1. Open Dashboard directly at /dashboard (no login required).
  2. Create categories, add bookmarks, reorder with drag-and-drop, and import Chrome bookmark HTML.
  3. Data is stored in this browser only; clearing site data removes local bookmarks.
  4. After sign-out, local mode remains available with local data.

How to use after login (Cloud Sync Mode)

After login, bookmark operations use cloud sync behavior so the same account can be accessed across devices.

  1. Sign in from /login or create an account from /register.
  2. Access your bookmarks on multiple devices under the same account.
  3. Keep using category management, add/edit/delete, drag sorting, and import flow.
  4. When signed out, the app falls back to guest mode with local data still usable.
